all about plumeria - October 2019

Presented by Dale Hershberger of Armstrong Nursery

These handsome and useful plants have an open, gaunt character, with leather, pointed leaves clustered near the tips of their thick branches. Clustered flowers are large, showy, waxy, and very fragrant. All are easy to grow from cuttings. Tender to frost. Won’t take cold, wet soil. Grow in containers so that when frosts are expected, you can move plant indoors to bright window for continued bloom or to a frost-free garage or shed. Feeding late in year will result in soft growth that will be nipped by lightest frosts.
